Mission:
The broadest mission of these Conferences is collective pursuit of understanding of the issues surrounding early diagnosis and early treatment of lung cancer. Starting with Early Lung Cancer Action Program (ELCAP), which evolved into the International (I)-ELCAP, the focus has always been on practicerelevant research. Th e focus of this conference is on screening research for individuals who have never smoked but have been exposed to secondhand smoke and thus are also at risk for developing lung cancer and other diseases associated with exposure to tobacco smoke.
